I've been here many times and made sure I order something new every time. Each of their dishes is unique.Edit: Don't order House pan fried noodles though..

Love this place. Really feels like home cooking and the portions are huge. Good place to gather a bunch of co-workers for lunch to order a lot of dishes. Flavor is is good and not too oily or salty.This place gets pretty busy at dinner so be prepared to wait.

I was hooked on this restaurant since I first dined here on New Year's Day of 2017, The Food is Delicious and prices are very reasonable, you can never go wrong with anything on the menu, they even have specials that are great value!

Sweet and Sour Soup, Beef and Broccoli, Salt and Pepper Chicken, Eggplant with Brown Sauce... Soooo good. I like coming here with a few friends and eating family style. We like the sweet and sour soup cause their other ones are hit or miss sometimes. Parking is easy but this place can get pretty packed. The staff do do best though. If your name is close on the list, they will usually ask you to place your order in to help you get your food faster when once you sit down.

One of the better, authentic Chinese restaurants in the area. As stated, the family dinners are a pretty good deal. The portions are kind of small but you can't beat the price. It's not located in one of the more popular shopping centers in the area, so thankfully the parking is pretty good!

Nice food

Came on a Saturday at 1'30 PM. Great food, we had the clay pot (house special) and braised vegetables. Great food at reasonable prices. Parking can be hard to find since there's a grocery store and other businesses in the same plaza. Just be patient.

The place offers a fantastic variety of fresh food. I liked eating here. Employees are always super friendly, rates are fair and the place is always kept clean.

I’ve been coming to this Gem since I was a little girl at age of 6 years old! I am now 24years old and still love it. I have introduced this restaurant to my husband and it’s our to go spot every other weekend. I definitely recommend this place and continue to bring more friends and family all the time here. Always satisfied with the restaurant’s staff, service, and it’s authentic freshly made food. I hope this favorite spot of ours remains open for many more generations. Keep up the great work!

Went here on Christmas Day and the staff was clearly overwhelmed. They were so busy that the server had let me know that all items that need to be fried were off-limits since they only had one fryer. This created a bit of a challenge since over half of the menu items requires deep frying. We were disappointed since this really limited the items we could order. Didn’t really understand this as this is probably the 20th Christmas Day the restaurant has been open on. We ended up ordering a fish filet with tofu dish, walnuts shrimp (which requires frying so we waited 30 minutes for it), and scallion pancakes. The food was solid, but the service was really lacking on this holiday. The server also never came back to pack our leftovers so we just left. You can get some authentic Chinese food here., but better to come back on a non-holiday.

Tried Canaan after finding out our go to dim sum restaurant closed. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the food was amazing! That staff was super friendly and very helpful. Can't wait to go back!

One of the best Chinese restaurants in the area. Not surprised it's always busy. Delicious Beef with Broccoli, Beef with Scallions, etc. Highly recommended.

All the food we ordered was absolutely delicious! The hot tea was good, the workers respond quickly and the menu is very extensive.

last night was our first time we visited this excellent restaurant. But It is surely not the last. We enjoyed the evening very much with the courteous service, with the finest food and booze and with the honest cost. We will absolutely return there in a short time.

That food here is a mazing, definitely authentic Chinese food. We always do family style! One of my favorite sayings are the fried stinky tofu, but honestly we haven't had a bad meal here, The staff is friendly, and the places big.

This is my go to place for amazing Taiwanese food. I go probably every weekend or so. The staff is great and very friendly and also super nice to us some we are regulars. I always order the Shanghai assorted noodles, shredded pork with bamboo and stinky tofu.

What can I say? Given the virus scare, went here and another couple was already seated but no other people was there. Lady with mask on waived for us to followed her to be seated. My party of 4 sat down. She gave us an overly extensive menu. All I wanted is dim sum. This place is not the rolling cart kind of place. They make it as you order. Looked over and over menu and only saw a few things I wanted. Place was busy for take outs as the waitress was busy doing whatever back in the kitchen area as food to go was brought up to cashier area. Sat for over 15 mins trying to decide what to order. Never came to give us any drinks or ask for drinks. Told my husband let's do to the new dim sum right over. Walked out so didn't get anything from this place. Wasn't wrong to do this as that place was super good!! See review for that!

It's a Family Restaurant serving delicious food. We always go here to order my husband's favorite House Special Pan Fried Noodles and my favorite Sautéed Kangkong.Love this place. Why don't you try it?

Authentic Taiwanese ethnic food, good selection and very reasonably priced.Services are good and friendly.The only drawback is the limited size of the dining area.There might be a waiting list depending on the time of the day.

My family goes here at least once a week. It's one of the few authentic Taiwanese restaurants around. One of the most popular dishes is the beef stew noodle soup. Very very popular in Taiwan. It is to Taiwan what Pizza is to Italy. Also breakfast on Saturday and Sunday is also very unique. You have breakfast items on the menu that aren't there Mon-Fri

Very extensive menu of authentic Chinese food. Very tasty and reasonably priced. Can get very crowded at dinner time. Have been coming here for more than 10 years and quality has been consistent.

This is the best Chinese/Taiwanese food in this whole region — and this Artesia/Cerritos region has lots of great restaurants. The food is so incredibly good that it makes the most loyal customers, and the chefs and wait staff are sweet, fast, kind and conscientious. My 100% favorite, bar none! Thanks so much Canaan!! Has been serving the neighborhood for the last 20 plus years. There must be a reason for its existence...Good food quality. Tips: They don't use MSG. In case one prefers the real taste of food, feel free to ask them to refrain from chicken bouillon powder.

Excellent food, cooked to order and ready within 5 minutes! Chicken Fried Rice, Egg Rolls, Orange Chicken, and Veggie Chow Mein is what we ordered. All dishes were well flavored, Egg Rolls were crisp, and sauce for the Orange chicken was balanced well. Amazing service, friendly staff, and again FAST and Fresh food that was great!

The food is consistently good. Sometimes service is slow when it's busy but they always stay on top of it and keep us informed.
